How to Use a Menstrual Cup

I finally got one of my own.  Menstrual cups are bell shaped cups usually made of silicon or rubber. They are used to hold blood during menstruation. It is used by inserting it into the vagina just like a tampon and then emptying it when it is full. Use Sterilize your cup with hot water before use for about 3 minutes. Wash your hands thoroughly to avoid introducing bacteria into your vagina. Find a comfortable position to do this. You can either squat or place one leg up.  Fold and hold the cup in such a way that it narrows at the top then using your fingers push the cup in place. Once in place the cup will open. If you feel pain or discomfort, please remove it and try again. Once it is full, remove it carefully so as not to spill then empty it. Wash the cup before inserting again and you’ll be good to go.
